Pigeon Forge SNOW

Our girls were out of school for Spring Break. Normally, we stay in town , but this year we decided to get season passes to Dollywood and head to Pigeon Forge, Tennessee.

After 2 days at the theme park, the weather decided to throw us a 30 degree curve, so we wanted to find something to do indoors. We were staying near Pigeon Forge SNOW and decided to try them out.

Both my girls measured above the required 38in to be able to do the snow sledding, so we purchased the combo passes for all 4 of us!

After getting our wristbands, we were able to get started!

Your hour starts after you get your tube and start up the hill. They scan your wristband each time and it tells them how long you have left on your hour. Once you go up the hill, you are ushered to the end of the line. From here, it was a 20 minute wait to the front of the line.

Here is where I started to stress because we realized it was going to be impossible to get in line together. They split us up so that we did not hold up the line. We were 4 rows apart (hubby and 5yr) and (3yr and me) and the hubby lost sight of us. I quickly realized how everyone was lined up and kept trying to put people in front of us so that our 3yr would not arrive at the bottom of the hill alone. It didn’t work. I couldn’t get the hubby’s attention as he went down with our 5yr. I couldn’t back out of going, so I sent our 3yr down by herself. She made it to the bottom right before them, but since they were unaware she was coming down, the attendant at the bottom had to help her out and get up to the hubby while I came down.

NOBODY went back up. Both girls refused, so we went on to the snow play area. They enjoyed this a lot and played for almost the full 30 minutes before getting hungry for lunch.

Takeaways:

I would definitely recommend this place for those with OLDER kiddos since there’s no double tubes. The slides are really fast and I think all 4 of us wound up backwards for at least 1/2 the trip down! I feel that an 8+ child would LOVE this. I did hear a lot of the older kids in line talking about how much they enjoyed it and they’d been there multiple times. My 5yr who enjoyed ever ride she was able to ride at Dollywood refused to go back down. I think expecting a 3yr and 5yr to go down by themselves is a little much. We paid a lot to figure that out!
