Great Wolf Lodge - Lagrange, GA

When you reserve a room at Great Wolf Lodge, you get access to the waterpark from opening on the day you check in to closing the day you check out. So, for a family of four, this is one of the most cost effective family outings we have found! We surprised Jenna (3yr) and Jessica (5yr) with a trip over their Christmas Break from school! We literally told them minutes before getting in the car for the trek down I-85!

We got there and registered at the front desk for our bands - struggled to find parking - and hit the waterpark. The girls were a little disappointed that they were not able to go in the outdoor pool, but with all the things inside, they quickly got over it.

With Jenna being 39in and Jessica being 42in, they were both able to enjoy Fort Mackenzie, Slap Tail Pond, Crooked Creek, River Canyon Run (Jenna in a life vest), Whooping Hollow, Otter Run, Totem Towers, and Cub Paw Pool. Jenna spent most of her time in Cub Paw Pool, but her 2nd favorite was River Canyon Run - both girls handled the stairs like champs! Jessica’s favorites were the bigger slides (River Canyon Run and Rapid Racer). She had to ride Rapid Racer with one of us. Her 2nd favorite was Slap Tail Pond - diving in the waves like a mermaid. We spent about 4 hours at the waterpark the first day and about 3 hours at the waterpark the next day after checkout. All of us were exhausted!

The room was fine for the 4 of us - we had a Family Suite - 2 queen beds and a sleeper sofa. Jessica was insistent on sleeping on the sleeper sofa with dad. Jenna got her own bed with inflatable toddler rails that we brought with us, and I slept in my own bed for most of the night until Jenna decided she wanted to join me.

We did not do any of the extras like the arcade, golf, magiquest, or build-a-bear, but we did see Santa, participate in the evening dance party, shop in the gift store, get ice cream, and play on the outdoor playgound. We ate our meals off-site and brought in some drinks and snacks.

Overall, the trip was a HUGE success! The kids are already asking to go back!!
